Cumbria Coaching Network Goes Live

7th February 2005

The Cumbria Coaching Network (CCNet) today launched their new web site to coincide with International Coaching Week (6 -12 February).

CCNet is comprised of professional practitioners who coach in Cumbria, all who have particular areas of experience, expertise and techniques in coaching, aimed at helping individuals grow, develop and cope with challenges, either in their working or personal lives. The value of this form of personal development is being increasingly recognised by organisations throughout the world. The Network only endorses members who can deliver a high standard of excellence in relation to experience and service.

www.cumbriacoaching.net profiles CCNet and explains how coaching works. You choose the agenda and, through a series of focussed conversations, either face to face, over the telephone, through electronic means, or a combination of all three, you will be supported, challenged and encouraged to achieve your goals.

Some of the benefits you will experience are:

Coaching is completely confidential but a CCNet client says: “I basked in the feeling of being the complete focus of someone else’s attention and the fact that the coaching was entirely driven by my needs and not someone else’s – a rarity in my life.”

CCNet coaches a diverse range of people and organisations. Founder member Mary McNeil adds: “Coaching is not counselling or therapy; it does not look backwards, but looks to the future to clarify what you want, what to do if you get stuck and how to meet the challenges along your chosen path. Everyone in the CCNet is passionate about promoting the benefits of coaching to people and businesses within Cumbria and all adhere to standards of excellence in delivering the service.”

Most members of CCNet will offer a free taster session. You can contact members direct from the web site, or contact CCNet, stating what issues or areas of interest you would like to discuss. The network is also open to new members – both professional, practising coaches and aspiring trainees. Members meet monthly at The Core Centre, adjacent to Holker Hall and at Lyzzick Hall, near Keswick to discuss good practice and developments in the professional arena.
